For July 2026 to June 2027: $8,157/year ($679.75/month) per child under 6, and $6,883/year ($573.58/month) per child aged 6 to 17.
At what income does CCB start reducing for single parents? β–Ό
Your CCB starts reducing when your AFNI exceeds $38,237.
How much does income reduce CCB for single parents? β–Ό
The reduction rate depends on the number of children: 1 child: 7%, 2 children: 13.5%, 3 children: 19%, 4+ children: 23% (for income between $38,237 and $82,847).

CCB is recalculated every July based on your previous year's AFNI. A change in income in 2025 affects payments starting July 2026.
Do I need to apply for CCB as a single parent? β–Ό
Yes. You should apply as soon as you meet the eligibility criteria. You can apply through the CRA's My Account, by mail using Form RC66, or by calling 1-800-387-1193.
What if my child lives with me part-time? β–Ό
If your child lives with you 40% to 60% of the time, you have shared custody. Each parent receives 50% of what they would get with full custody, based on their own AFNI.
Can I receive CCB if I share custody? β–Ό
Yes. In shared custody, both parents can apply and each receives 50% of their calculated amount. The CRA will not split using other percentages.
