How is the OSHPTG calculated? โ–ผ
The maximum grant is the lesser of $500 and your eligible property tax paid. For singles, the grant reduces by 3.33% of income over $35,000 (no grant at $50,000+). For couples, the threshold is $45,000 (no grant at $60,000+).
What is the maximum OSHPTG amount? โ–ผ
The maximum is $500, but it's capped at the amount of eligible property tax you paid for 2025. If you paid $350 in property tax, your maximum grant is $350.
What is the income threshold? โ–ผ
For single/separated/divorced/widowed: $35,000. For married/common-law: $45,000. Above these thresholds, the grant reduces by 3.33% of the excess income.
What is the income cut-off? โ–ผ
For single: $50,000. For married/common-law: $60,000. If your income is at or above the cut-off, you're not entitled to a grant.
